Another request from one of my Instagramers. I actually made this milkshake and posted the recipe quite some time ago, but I honestly felt like I didn't do enuff justice to the milkshake or the reputation that PBJ has. I mean, who doesn't love peanut butter + jelly? The King, Elvis, love it so much that he even created a sandwich outta it.
I used Pic's Unsalted Smooth Peanut Butter. When it comes to peanut butter, I only trust Pic's as it contains 99.5% real roasted peanuts. As for the jelly, I am using a good quality concord grape jelly jam. You can use any type of berries jam if desired. I find that concord grape jelly jam sorta gives authenticity to PBJ, don't ya agree? I tried not to go too over the top with this milkshake and I guess I did. I used my homemade vanilla salted caramel sauce, combine it with some unsalted roasted peanuts and garnished over the whipped cream. Oh well, if you wanna sin, at least do it properly, right? I hope you will give this recipe a try. Cheers!
(Make 1 milkshake)
Whole Milk, 1/3 Cup
High Quality Vanilla Bean Ice-Cream, 160g
Pic's Smooth Peanut Butter, 60g
High Quality Concord Grape Jelly Jam, 2 Heaped TBSP + More For Smearing
Homemade Vanilla Salted Caramel Sauce, 2 Heaped TBSP
Unsalted Roasted Peanuts, 1 Heaped TBSP
Whipped Cream, For Topping
Please visit my "How To Make Vanilla Salted Caramel Sauce" for the recipe.
Chill serving glass in the fridge until ready to serve.
In a blender, add milk, ice-cream, peanut butter and grape jelly.
Pulse the mixture a few times to break up the ice-cream.
Blitz it up to combine the mixture.
*As soon as you see the mixture is combined well, stop blitzing. Over-blitzing will cause the ice-cream to melt super fast and causing it to split.*
Smear some more of the grape jelly at the sides of serving glass with the back of the spoon.
Pour milkshake into serving glass.
In a small bowl, combine caramel sauce and peanuts well.
Garnish the milkshake with whipped cream and the caramel + peanuts mixture.
