Recently, I am on a Nutella craze. Just a couple of days ago, I posted a Nutella stuffed pain perdu on my Instagram and my daughters asked, "can you make a Nutella milkshake?" Like an evil villain, I sneered, "your wish is my command!" I then decided to take things even further with a Ferrero Rocher milkshake.
I know, this milkshake has loads of sugar and calories, but if you wanna sin, at least do it properly, right? I have a motto, eat 1st, work out later. To make the milkshake more "Ferrero-Rocher-Like", I dust some edible gold dust over the top and on the side. It cost quite a bit of money tho. Is it worth the money? Hell yeah! I mean look at that! My daughter even asked if she will pooped gold after eating. I was just laughing out loud. Anyway, let's get started with the recipe.
(Make 1 milkshake)
Whole Milk, 1/3 Cup
High Quality Vanilla Bean Ice-Cream, 160g
Nutella, 1/8 Cup + More For Decorating
Unsalted Raw Hazelnuts Crushed, For Decorating and Garnishing
Whipped Cream, For Topping
Edible Gold Dust, For Decorating and Garnishing
Chill serving glass in the fridge until ready to serve.
In a blender, add milk, ice cream and nutella.
Pulse the mixture a few times to break up the ice-cream.
Blitz it up to combine the mixture.
*As soon as you see the mixture is combine well, stop blitzing. Over-blitzing will cause the ice-cream to melt super fast and causing it to split.*
Smear the nutella at the sides of serving glass with the back of the spoon.
Smear the nutella on the sides of the serving glass lip as well.
Dust the crushed hazelnuts and edible gold dust on the serving glass lip.
*You will probably need an extra pair of hands to turn and hold the serving glass as you are dusting.*
Pour the milkshake into serving glass.
Garnish with whipped cream.
Sprinkle crushed hazelnuts and edible gold dust over the top.
